Why we built compresshive

Images are often too big for a website, an email or an upload form. Most online tools fix that by uploading your files to their servers, where you have no idea who can see them or how long they are kept.

We think shrinking a photo shouldn't mean handing it over. So we built compresshive to do all the work on your own device.

How it works

Modern browsers are powerful enough to compress, resize and convert images by themselves. When you use compresshive, the page loads once and then processes your images right inside your browser. Your files are never uploaded, stored or seen by us.

compresshive is free to use, with no limits hidden behind a paid plan. To keep it that way, we show a small number of ads. Ads never get access to your images, because your images never leave your device.
